Solid Roots Site Services is a New England–based contractor specializing in exterior ADA remediation for commercial and retail properties. We focus on correcting sidewalks, curb ramps, parking areas, and accessible routes to help property owners and operators address compliance needs efficiently and responsibly.​​​
Solid Roots Site Services was formed to provide a dedicated platform for this category of work, allowing a focused approach to planning, execution, and consistency across repeat projects. We understand the practical challenges of working in live environments and approach each project with an emphasis on safety, clear communication, and predictable outcomes.​
​Our team brings years of hands-on experience delivering exterior ADA remediation projects across multiple active retail locations. This work has included sidewalk removal and replacement, new sidewalk construction, curb ramp installation and correction, parking lot milling and paving, and associated access improvements. Many of these projects were completed at occupied facilities, requiring careful coordination to maintain safe access and minimize disruption to daily operations.

Our Background
After completing numerous ADA exterior remediation projects for regional retail clients through Solid Roots Construction LLC, we formed Solid Roots Site Services to focus exclusively on concrete flatwork, paving, and compliance-driven exterior improvements. The new company leverages the same ownership (in addition to a new partner), project management, and field crews, while allowing a dedicated operational focus for clients with multi-site and repeat compliance needs.
Dan Nickels
Owner and Director of Operations
Dan Nickels understands there is only one way to do a job, the right way. His level of skill and demand for accuracy makes him uniquely qualified to lead all of our field operations.

Dan has been working with concrete since 2000, from formwork and vertical concrete work before transitioning into the demolition world running both horizontal and vertical concrete sawcut and demolition projects. Dan has worked for some of the regions largest companies, learning the trade from the ground up.
​
In 2013 Dan started Nickels Property Management doing everything from commercial roofing, general property maintenance, carpentry and more for the last 13 years.
Jeff Kelley
Owner and Project Manager
Jeff Kelley graduated from the University of Maine as a member of the Francis Crowe Society of Engineers and with a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management.

His career in construction started as a Field Engineer working for The Lane Construction Corporation where he worked primarily doing layout for road and bridge construction before moving into an office role.

Jeff formed Solid Roots Construction in 2017 with Joshua Hamel and together they have grown it into an extremely strong company successfully operating in the small to mid size commercial construction market in New Hampshire.

Owner
Joshua has 25 years of construction experience ranging from large commercial renovations and build out to land development and residential new construction.

Joshua has a strong understanding of ADA compliance laws and standards running all interior ADA remediation projects for Solid Roots Construction

Prior to Solid Roots, Joshua was a partner at Elm Grove Companies, where he owned and operated the construction arm of the real estate development company​
